Welcome to Felpham Sailing Club.

Welcome to Felpham Sailing Club. Hopefully you will find everything you need to know about the best little sailing club on the south coast. The website includes features such as……

    Our extensive sailing program

     Race results

A Live Weather information, broadcasting directly from the new instruments at the club. This will enable all sailors to log on to see what the local conditions are like before they come down to rig their boats.

A month by month calendar giving you up to date info on what’s on for both sailing and social events.

    Our RYA training programmes

     Details of how to join.

We are fortunate to have a very keen and strong sailing fleet. In addition to this we have enriched our Saturday Sailing to include more informal training, sharing of boats and buddying up. As well as weekends we also run a Wednesday night series throughout the summer months for those who just can’t get enough of being on the water only at the weekends. Over the last few years another great success is our Friday Youth sailing evenings which focus on youth and family sailing. These nights are a fantastic way for new members and potential members to experience the thrills of sailing and make new friends.

Update from our commodore Paula Bentley

Thank you to the outgoing Committee for 2010-2011 for their hard work and contribution to club life and welcome to those members that have just joined.

We are very proud to have achieved our Volvo Championship Status in 2011 and I  would like to thank the team of people who have worked extremely hard in achieving this.  This is as well as achieving the Onboard Status which complements our Race Training Centre.

As we approach 2012, which is of course Olympic year, we shall be supporting our Olympic sailors on their home ground, and indeed encouraging more people to try our sport  through our regular informal sailing sessions, sailing, powerboat and safety boat courses, WoW evenings (Women on Water) and an open day.   Last year, it was possible to sail on a Wednesday evening, Thursday evening, Friday evening (youth session), Saturday and Sunday – not bad for a little club on the South Coast.  I anticipate a full programme being offered both on and off the water, for the coming season.

The Committee will be sending out newsletters to keep you informed of what is happening in and around the club as well as keeping the website updated with up and coming events.

Our sailing club is run by members for members so please do not hesitate to contact any of the Committee members if you are able to assist, in any way eg, organising a social evening, a Sunday lunch, a quiz night, a supper or bbq in the summer.

Looking forward to another great year at Felpham Sailing Club.
